Asphalt paving has commenced on a new road connecting the settlements of Homesh and Sa-Nur in northern Samaria, following six months of route-clearing work. The road, referred to as the "Silat al-Harith bypass," is designed to circumvent the Palestinian village of Silat al-Harith and establish a continuous traffic route between settlements in the northern Samaria region.

Yossi Dagan, head of the Samaria Regional Council, attended the work site and expressed his satisfaction, stating, "Good tidings, the asphalt paving work has now begun on the bypass road, which will connect Homesh and Sa-Nur." Dagan further described the project as a "huge breakthrough on the way to renewing massive settlement in northern Samaria." According to the council, the road aims to enhance the security of travelers, security forces, and hikers in the area.

The commencement of asphalt paving marks the transition from route clearing to infrastructure and paving operations. The council presented the project as part of developing the necessary infrastructure for traffic between the region's revitalized settlements. Dagan extended his gratitude to Defense Minister Israel Katz, Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich, the settlement administration, the Civil Administration, the construction division of the Ministry of Defense, the Samaria and Menashe brigades, and the Netivei Yisrael company.

"We are correcting the history of the State of Israel," Dagan declared, predicting that hundreds of thousands of civilians would eventually reside in northern Samaria. He also congratulated the families of Sa-Nur and the families of eight settlements he stated have already been established in northern Samaria. Dagan announced his intention to promote the establishment of 11 additional settlements, exclaiming, "We are winning, how exciting."
