Four yeshiva students, aged 18 and 19, sustained burns of varying degrees on Monday morning after a gas burner exploded at Tzinbari Beach in Tiberias. The young men were on vacation at the beach when one of the gas burners they were using suddenly exploded, igniting a fire that injured those standing nearby. According to the Kinneret Cities Association control room, the students had lit one small gas burner, with another set up close by. For reasons under investigation, one of the burners exploded unexpectedly, causing a rapid fire.
Magen David Adom (MDA) emergency medical teams and police forces were dispatched to the scene. Rescuers from the Hatzala organization, along with MDA paramedics and EMTs, provided initial medical treatment for the burns and stabilized the injured. "When we arrived, we found several victims with burns on their bodies after being injured due to a gas burner explosion," said Hatzala EMTs Uriel Nissim Dadon and Matanel Azlan. "Together with MDA paramedics and EMTs, we provided initial medical treatment to a 19-year-old who suffered second-degree burns on his limbs, and he was evacuated in moderate condition to the trauma unit at Rambam Hospital in Haifa."
Three other individuals suffered first-degree burns and were evacuated in light condition to the North Galilee Medical Center (Poriyah Hospital). The moderately injured student was taken to Rambam Hospital in Haifa with limb injuries, while the other three were taken to Poriyah Hospital in Tiberias. The circumstances of the incident are currently being investigated by the relevant authorities.
