The family of Lia Malka, who was murdered in a car explosion on the Ayalon Highway in June, confronted her ex-husband, Chen Cohen, on Monday morning before a hearing for the indictment reading at the Rishon Lezion Magistrate's Court. Footage from the scene captured Malka's family shouting at Cohen, "You murdered her," to which he responded, "You did this." Outside the courtroom, relatives held a protest with signs reading, "Justice for Lia. Your smile will forever be etched in our hearts." Her father, Yaakov, stated, "They are not giving us much detail about what is happening, there is not much progress." Malka, 35, from Rishon Lezion, was killed in June in the car bombing. Kan News reported in June that police suspect the motive for the murder was a difficult divorce proceeding she was undergoing with her ex-husband.
