IDF Chief of Staff Eyal Zamir met yesterday with rabbis from the religious Zionist yeshiva world. He told them that the Israel Defense Forces still lacks thousands of fighters and needs every soldier and soldier, male and female, to carry out missions and preserve the achievements of the campaign amid operational challenges and the breadth of fighting across all sectors.
Zamir also expressed appreciation for the contribution of yeshiva and pre-military academy students to the IDF over the years and during the war. He said he would continue strengthening enforcement of the joint service order and other routine regulations.
The rabbis said they would keep educating for meaningful military service. They also raised the need for every observant soldier to be able to serve in a way that matches his or her beliefs.
