Itamar Fleischman apologizes on air to Guy Maroz after heated exchange
Itamar Fleischman, a panelist on Channel 14's "The Patriots," apologized live on Tuesday evening to Guy Maroz over events from the previous night. The apology came after a heated confrontation between the two and after many viewers called on Fleischman to say sorry for what was said during the discussion.
Fleischman said he had originally intended not to apologize and claimed he had supporting evidence for the arguments he made in the debate. He said he changed his mind "for the sake of peace" and because he listens closely to the program's audience.
"I planned not to apologize," Fleischman said on air, "but for the sake of peace, and because our viewers, whom I listen to very much, told me that this is what is proper, I will apologize. Sorry." The host welcomed the apology, responding, "Nice, well done, that's how we like panelists."
