Gdalyah David Adler, who passed away recently, was among the last surviving disciples of Rabbi Eliezer Hager of Vizhnitz, known as the "Damsek Eliezer." Adler was born in Târnova, Marmaraș, and in his youth studied under Rabbi Hager, who served as a Rebbe and Rosh Yeshiva in Vizhnitz and authored the book "Damsek Eliezer." Rabbi Hager passed away in 1946.

Adler later became one of the first students at the Vizhnitz Yeshiva in Tel Aviv. His family described him as a sincere and upright individual, with a pleasant demeanor, who loved Torah and respected scholars, dedicating regular time to study. He also had a fondness for the Land of Israel Yeshiva and raised a righteous family.

His funeral took place in Jerusalem on the night of Hoshana Rabbah. He is survived by his children Nitzana Cohen, Gila Hershberg, and Menachem Adler, as well as grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
