  • Settler kills 19-year-old East Jerusalem resident near Ramallah.
  • IDF investigation contradicts initial claims of Molotov cocktail throwing.
  • Another person was lightly injured by shrapnel.
  • IDF prevented medical teams from reaching the victim.

A 19-year-old resident of East Jerusalem, Bahāʼ Sāmi Amīn al-Natsha, was shot and killed by a settler on Friday in the village of Kobar, north of Ramallah. The Red Crescent reported that another person sustained minor injuries from shrapnel. According to the Red Crescent, IDF forces prevented medical teams from reaching the deceased and ordered them to leave the scene. Al-Natsha held a blue identity card, granting him residency in East Jerusalem.

A security source initially claimed the settler fired after the IDF received a report of Molotov cocktails being thrown at the Eretz Tzvi outpost. However, an IDF investigation found that no one had thrown anything at the outpost and that al-Natsha was not carrying a Molotov cocktail.
