Reports that Omri Adam is taking a long break from performances are inaccurate, people close to the singer said. According to them, he is only expected to step back for a few months around his wedding preparations and honeymoon, not for a year-long hiatus from the stage.
The source said Adam is already working on a new album, which was first reported by mako. One source close to him said, "A little rest. Omri will not take a whole year, ever." Another added, "He deserves, like anyone who is getting married, some time with his wife. But from there to a year off? That is far from reality."
Those around him stressed that this is not the same as the temporary break he took when he moved to Dubai. This time, they said, he will continue performing and already has his Next shows scheduled, which include a period of rehearsals and preparations.
They also said the coming months will be devoted to new music. The album will be recorded partly in Italy, with Tal Kastiel and Adam’s brother Gal Adam. Asked whether he would bring people to the Italian studio for the sessions, as he did for "Sof HaOlam" in Dubai and "Chelek Min HaNetzach" in France this year, they said that has not yet been finalized.
