Ironi Ness Ziona has officially signed guard Shalev Lugashi to a two-month contract with an option to extend through the end of the season. The 25-year-old, standing at 1.95 meters, joins the team from Bnei Herzliya, where he averaged 9.2 points, 4.5 rebounds, and 1.1 steals last season. Lugashi arrives in Ness Ziona to fill the void left by Adam Ariel, who was diagnosed with a fracture in the acetabulum of his hip joint. Ariel sustained the injury during the recent national team break, adding to a previous knee injury he suffered and recovered from. He is expected to be sidelined for approximately six weeks. Ariel, who joined Ness Ziona in the summer after a strong season with Maccabi Ramat Gan, had signed a three-year contract with the club, reportedly the highest salary for an Israeli player in the team's history. Lugashi expressed his enthusiasm about joining Ness Ziona, stating, "I am happy to join Ness Ziona. I will do everything to help the team achieve its goals. Let's go Ness Ziona!"
