Elitzur Netanya has made its first move for the upcoming National League season by appointing Shai Siglovich as its sporting director. The announcement comes as Netanya prepares to rebound after being relegated from the top division this season.
Siglovich, 42, is coming off a stint coaching Maccabi Ra'anana, whom he led from the second division into the Premier League last season. Netanya will hope he can repeat that success with the yellow-clad club after its drop to the National League.
He left Ra'anana in February after five straight defeats, each by double digits, when the team was 15-3. Before that, he had previously worked at Netanya as an assistant coach.
Siglovich's résumé also includes assistant-coaching roles at M.K. Hapoel Beit She'an, Hapoel Gilboa/Galil, and Ironi Nahariya, as well as head-coaching jobs at Elitzur Yavne, Ironi Nahariya, Ra'anana, and Galil.
