Maccabi Petah Tikva announced on Tuesday that it has reached an agreement with Ibrahim Souma, a 22-year-old Guinean defensive midfielder, as it continues building its squad for its return to the Israeli Premier League. Souma signed for two years with an option for one additional season.
Souma began his career at the SOAR academy before moving to Moldova, where he played for Zimbru Chișinău and Sheriff Tiraspol. During that spell, he gained experience and also appeared in qualifying matches for European competitions.
In the coming days, Souma is expected to arrive in Israel, undergo medical tests, and join the team’s training sessions. He will be Maccabi Petah Tikva’s fifth foreign player.
