  • Local rain expected in northern Israel and coastal plain.
  • Temperatures will rise through Simchat Torah to seasonal levels.
  • Scattered showers possible overnight and on Simchat Torah.
  • Conditions will clear by Sunday with slight warming.
  • A slight temperature drop is expected by Monday.

The Israeli Meteorological Service has issued an updated weather forecast indicating a rise in temperatures and continued chances of light, local rain across parts of the country. On Hoshana Rabbah and into Simchat Torah, skies are expected to be partly cloudy to cloudy, with local rain possible in the north and along the coastal plain. Isolated thunderstorms may occur in northern Israel, and a few drops of rain are possible in the southern Negev. Temperatures will see a slight increase in central and southern Israel, though they will remain slightly below the seasonal average. Overnight, leading into Shabbat and Simchat Torah, partly cloudy skies are forecast with local rain primarily along the coast. On Simchat Torah itself, skies will be partly cloudy, with light local rain or drizzle expected in the north until the afternoon. Temperatures will rise further to seasonal norms. On Sunday, the day after the holiday, conditions will be clear to partly cloudy, with a slight temperature increase in northern and central Israel. By Monday, expect partly to mostly cloudy skies with high-altitude clouds, and a slight drop in temperatures.
