Israel's Health Ministry said tests on two men who had been hospitalized on suspicion of Ebola came back negative. The ministry stressed that, as of now, no confirmed Ebola case has been diagnosed in Israel.
The ministry also urged the public to avoid nonessential travel to areas where Ebola is actively circulating. It said travelers returning from such places who develop fever or unusual symptoms within 21 days of returning should stay home, avoid contact with others, and call the Health Voice hotline at *5400.
The warning comes as authorities continue monitoring possible imported cases, but the latest test results ruled out Ebola in the two patients under investigation.
