Trump Recounts Dramatic Plane Hijacking Story

Former President Donald Trump described a dramatic incident aboard a plane, recounting a story he heard from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu. Trump stated that the co-pilot may have been a terrorist or a madman who stabbed the pilot, leaving him in critical condition. The pilot, however, showed incredible resourcefulness by managing to open the aircraft's steel door and shout for help.

According to Trump's retelling, an Israeli plumber with no flying experience, who was a passenger, heard the commotion. While the plane was in a steep dive that tore off its tail rudder and exceeded its flight limits, the plumber, described as strong from his work, was able to pull the assailant off the pilot's seat and throw him back. Passengers then subdued the attacker.

Trump added that the plumber, despite never having flown a plane, grabbed the controls and leveled the aircraft just before it crashed. He attributed the plumber's knowledge to watching the television show "Air Disasters," from which he claimed to have learned how to fly a plane. Flight crew and security personnel, who were in the rear of the plane, eventually reached the cockpit and took control.

Trump emphasized that he was relaying the story as he heard it, acknowledging that there might be false narratives circulating. He expressed his belief that the incident was "amazing" and "unbelievable," particularly highlighting the plumber's actions. He noted that the attackers' motive to crash the plane was not confirmed, but the plumber's intervention, informed by the TV show, saved the aircraft from crashing.
