Poll Shows Netanyahu's Likud Gaining, Eisenkot's Party Losing Seats

A poll released Wednesday by Israel's Channel 13 indicates shifts in voter intentions if Knesset elections were held today. The "Yashar" party, led by Gadi Eisenkot, would secure 21 seats, one less than in the previous week's survey. Conversely, Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's "Likud" party has strengthened its position, projected to win 19 seats.

Other parties' projected seat allocations include "B'Yachad" with 11, "Democratim" with 11, "Yisrael Beiteinu" with 9, the Joint List with 9, "Otzma Yehudit" with 8, "Yahadut HaTorah" with 8, Shas with 7, "Tzionut Datit"-"Zeut" with 7, Ra'am with 5, and "Amcha Israel" with 5.

The poll also revealed public opinion on key issues. A significant 69% of respondents support the establishment of a state commission to investigate the "7/10 disaster," with 15% opposing and 15% undecided. Additionally, 65% favor limiting the tenure of the Israeli Prime Minister, while 19% oppose this, and 17% are unsure. Support for term limits is notably higher among opposition supporters (87%) compared to coalition voters (36%).

The coalition bloc is projected to win 54 seats, while opposition parties, excluding Arab parties and the lists of Hendel and Zelicha, are expected to gain 52 seats.
