Moshé Feiglin Reports Death Threats After Temple Mount Visit

The 'Identity' party announced Wednesday that it has filed an urgent complaint with the Israel Police following the circulation of a video on social media allegedly calling for an ambush, physical harm, revenge, and punishment against the party's chairman and former Knesset member, Moshé Feiglin. According to the party's statement, the video was distributed after Feiglin ascended the Temple Mount earlier that day, and in response to other online statements that the party claims constituted incitement against him. The party linked these events to Feiglin's positions during the 'Identity' party's election campaign for the upcoming Knesset elections.

The party described the video as a "dangerous crossing of a red line" and stated that this prompted the urgent police complaint. "Our enemies did not coincidentally call the October 7th attack 'Al-Aqsa's Flood.' They understand exactly what the war is about. The Temple Mount is the focal point of the campaign and the heart of Israeli sovereignty, and any display of weakness or concession regarding it is perceived as an invitation for continued terror and threats," the party said.

Feiglin himself addressed the threats, stating they would not alter his positions. "The threats and calls for an ambush will not deter us. The root of the struggle for our existence begins at the Temple Mount, the most sacred place for the Jewish people, and that is where our sovereignty is decided," he asserted. He added, "We cannot accept a reality where extremist elements threaten and try to silence public representatives who present the simple and clear truth without fear."

Feiglin demanded that the police act on the publications, stating, "We demand that the Israel Police act immediately, apprehend the inciters, and unequivocally clarify who is sovereign and the owner of this land."
