Israeli consumer site Anat Siman Tov reports that although Zara rarely appears in mainstream discounts, gift-card deals, or credit-card promotions, there is now a way to get money back toward purchases at the Spanish fashion chain. The article says Isracard is the only provider that offers Zara gift cards, and it is now also offering cashback that can be turned into shopping credit.
The cashback is based on actual spending with the card. During the first year, cardholders receive about 1% back on regular purchases and 0.5% back on payments to authorities such as electricity, property tax, and water bills. From the second year, the rates fall to about 0.75% and 0.375% respectively.
The piece gives examples: monthly spending of 6,000 shekels produces about 60 shekels back each month, or 720 shekels a year. Spending 10,000 shekels a month yields about 100 shekels monthly, or 1,200 shekels a year. It says the average family’s credit-card use is around 12,000 shekels, which would mean roughly 120 shekels a month that can be directed toward Zara purchases.
After points accumulate, they can be converted into a digital gift card, which can be used at various chains, not only Zara. The article stresses that routine spending is not tied directly to Zara, but can eventually be turned into vouchers used there, depending on monthly spending and the program’s accumulation rules.
