Miami has pulled off a major win-now trade for Giannis Antetokounmpo, giving up a heavy package of young talent and draft assets but finally abandoning its long reluctance to empty the cupboard for a star. The Heat are sending Jaime Jaquez Jr., Kel'el Ware, Kasparas Jakucionis, the No. 13 pick in the draft, two future first-round picks and a future swap to Milwaukee, while adding Bobby Portis as well. The move is aimed squarely at contending immediately, with Antetokounmpo turning 32 in the summer and Miami pairing him with Bam Adebayo, Norman Powell, Andrew Wiggins, Davion Mitchell and coach Erik Spoelstra.
