Flydubai Comments on Mid-Air Incident, Investigation Underway
Flydubai has officially commented for the first time on a dangerous incident that occurred aboard flight FZ 1073, traveling from Dubai to Tel Aviv's Ben Gurion Airport. The airline confirmed that an "unforeseen situation" arose in the cockpit, but the crew managed to regain control, adjust the route, and land the aircraft safely in Tel Aviv. All passengers and crew members aboard the flight were unharmed and are safe.
In response to the incident, Flydubai dispatched two replacement aircraft to Tel Aviv to provide support for those affected. The airline stated that this event did not disrupt other scheduled flights. The causes and motives behind the incident remain unknown and are currently under official investigation.
Flydubai urged against premature speculation while authorities gather facts, emphasizing that their primary focus is the safety and well-being of passengers and crew, as well as cooperating with the ongoing investigation. Previously, it was reported that Israeli authorities were examining how the flight crew obtained permission to fly to Israel and the pre-flight screening procedures they underwent. The Mossad has also joined the investigation into the incident.
