During the intermediate days of the Sukkot holiday, Israelis are opting for the Taba crossing as an alternative to the lengthy lines and potential flight delays often experienced at Ben Gurion Airport. Although the Counter-Terrorism Bureau has issued a severe travel warning for the Sinai Peninsula, crowds are reportedly crossing the border quickly to reach their holiday destinations.

Beyond the tranquility, sea, and quiet offered by the Egyptian peninsula, the significantly lower costs compared to an average vacation in Israel are a major draw. Many Israeli tourists feel they are not always welcome in Europe recently and find Sinai to be a more accessible and affordable option.
