British Reporter Confronts Hamas Operative Who Called for Killing Jews

A Palestinian man from Gaza who illegally entered Britain by boat last year and was previously documented calling for the murder of Jews has been located living in the town of Corby. The man, Musab Abdul Karim Al-Gasas, also known as Abu Wadi, was found by a reporter for the local Northants Telegraph newspaper residing in a shared apartment. In an interview conducted via a translation app, Al-Gasas admitted to being a former member of Hamas's 'tire-burning unit' and having called for the murder of Jews eight years prior, but claimed he acted under duress and has since renounced Hamas. He stated, "Everyone knows Hamas is a terrorist organization that would kill us if we didn't speak against Jews while we lived there," adding that he now has Jewish friends and enjoys his life in the UK.

These statements contradict earlier evidence. Al-Gasas, who maintains a TikTok account with approximately 20,000 followers, previously posted videos and images showing him with a rifle and confronting Israeli soldiers. A Facebook video from September 2024, before his arrival in Britain, included a prayer invoking Allah to "kill them one by one" and "destroy them completely."

Al-Gasas, 34, served a nine-month prison sentence for illegal entry but has since been granted permission to stay in the country. His presence has caused outrage among local officials. Member of Parliament Lee Barron expressed shock and vowed to contact the Home Secretary to demand his immediate deportation. Town councilor Mark Pangall also supported the deportation call, deeming the situation "ridiculous."

Chris Philp, the Shadow Home Secretary, criticized the situation, stating it's a "joke" that taxpayers fund Al-Gasas's weekly subsistence of £49.18. He questioned why the man couldn't be deported back to Hamas-controlled Gaza, but the Home Office stated deportation is currently impossible due to dangers in the region and the lack of safe, legal return routes.

A spokesperson for the Campaign Against Antisemitism expressed frustration, asking, "What's the point of imprisoning someone for illegal presence, and then when they finish their sentence, letting them walk free?"
