An explosive device detonated in the car of Dudu Levi, chairman of the Likud party's branch in Or Yehuda, in what is being investigated as an attempted assassination. The incident occurred about a week and a half ago around 3:00 AM on Tarshish Street in the city, causing significant damage to the vehicle and alarming local residents. Levi, described as a prominent and influential political activist, has received public praise from Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and other Likud officials for his work. Information obtained by Kan News suggests the motive for the attack is related to a personal debt Levi owes to private individuals, and not his political activities. Sources speaking to Kan News indicated that Levi is known to police and has had contact with criminal elements. During his police testimony, Levi reportedly avoided answering questions about potential conflicts or enemies, attempting to distance himself from the incident. No suspects have been arrested nearly two weeks after the explosion. Police explained their initial failure to publicly disclose the incident by stating they had difficulty determining if it was a criminal act in the early stages.
