Firefighters were called to Beitar Illit on Monday after a child became trapped inside a concrete bin during play. Crews from the Judea regional fire station carried out a careful rescue operation, focusing on the boy’s safety and calming him throughout the incident.
Medical teams and the child’s family were also present at the scene. The boy was freed safely and without injury.
At the end of the rescue, the boy and his family thanked the firefighters for what they described as professional and dedicated work. Team commander Sgt. Maj. Ziv Yona said the crew worked “carefully” while fully protecting the child’s health and calming him together with his family, with help from the medical personnel on site.
Shift commander Reshef Lichi Ben Lulu used the incident to warn parents and children against playing near concrete barriers and similar structures. He said, “The concrete barriers are not part of children’s games. They are a safety obstacle that can pose a real danger, and no one should enter them. Please keep children safe and avoid these dangerous games.”
