Likud Accuses Lapid of Pre-Writing Statement Against Netanyahu
Following a statement from the Prime Minister's Office, the Likud party launched a sharp attack on opposition leader Yair Lapid. The party stated that Lapid left a meeting with Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu at 11:39 PM and, just two minutes later at 11:41 PM, released an extensive statement that was entirely a political attack on the prime minister.
Likud questioned Lapid's rapid response, suggesting he either writes at "the speed of light" or that the statement was prepared in advance, irrespective of the information presented to him during the meeting. The party derisively referred to this as "the nightly Lapid."
