US Intelligence Sees Potential for Major Attack on Israel

A U.S. intelligence source indicated that Washington shares Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's assessment of a potential attack against Israel in the near future, possibly preceding elections. The threat could originate directly from Iran or from Tehran-backed militant groups in the Middle East, according to the source cited by i24NEWS.

This assessment comes amid ongoing tensions between the U.S. and Iran. Despite President Donald Trump's rejection of a negotiation offer from Tehran and his stated intention to continue talks, Washington is bolstering its military presence in the region. The aircraft carrier USS Theodore Roosevelt departed San Diego on Monday for a deployment expected to last over seven months.

Iran is reportedly concerned about both external threats and internal risks, with security forces monitoring economic pressures and growing public discontent.
