Media Personality Meni Assayag Accuses Channel 12 of Treason

Media personality and creator Meni Assayag has launched a scathing attack against Israel's Channel 12 News, accusing the network of treason and spreading a "sick blood libel" against IDF soldiers. Assayag, a vocal critic of mainstream media, alleged that the channel's actions, including potential violations of military censorship, constitute betrayal rather than a simple censorship offense.

He linked the current reporting to past coverage that he claims damaged Israel's image and its soldiers internationally during wartime. Assayag specifically referenced a "blood libel" story that garnered 100 million views globally, suggesting that the same outlet could easily violate censorship orders and endanger the Prime Minister's flight with security chiefs.

Assayag declared that Channel 12 is "not of Israel" and demanded that authorities shut down the network. This latest outburst follows previous criticisms he leveled against most Israeli media outlets, excluding Channel 14, for what he described as a coordinated campaign against Prime Minister Netanyahu. He also accused the media of amplifying and encouraging protests against the government, calling the demonstrations the "greatest betrayal by the Kaplan Gang against the people of Israel."
