Thousands March Through Jerusalem in Annual Sukkot Celebration

Thousands of participants from across Israel converged on Jerusalem on Monday to take part in the traditional Jerusalem March, a key event during the Sukkot holiday.

The marchers traversed various routes through the city, passing by urban nature sites, scenic overlooks, and unique landscapes before concluding at Sacher Park.

At Sacher Park, a large-scale festive event awaited the participants, featuring musical performances for all ages, workshops, and various attractions. The event aimed to foster a joyous atmosphere and celebrate Jerusalem during the holiday.

Jerusalem Mayor Moshe Lion addressed the participants, expressing his admiration for the turnout. "It was impressive to see the thousands of marchers, families, and visitors who filled Jerusalem and turned the Jerusalem March into a great celebration of the city and the Sukkot holiday," he stated. He also highlighted Jerusalem's popularity as a destination, noting that "millions of people who have visited Jerusalem since the beginning of September know that Jerusalem is the place to be, especially during this special time of year." He concluded by expressing his happiness at seeing the streets full, families enjoying themselves, and Jerusalem celebrating.
