Avigdor Lieberman Mourns Close Friend and Agricultural Advocate

Avigdor Lieberman, chairman of the Yisrael Beiteinu party and a Knesset member, is in deep mourning following the death of his close friend, Gilad Altman. Altman, who served as the chairman of the "Admati" association, passed away recently.

Lieberman announced his grief on his Twitter (X) account, sharing a heartfelt farewell message. "I was shocked to hear of the passing of my close friend Gilad Altman, chairman of the Admati association," Lieberman wrote. "Gilad was a man of the land in the fullest sense of the word, a lover of the country, a person of values, action, and giving. He will be greatly missed by all who had the honor of knowing him. My condolences to the family. May his memory be blessed."

Altman was recognized as a visionary leader dedicated to preserving the nation's lands and rural areas. He held significant public and security roles throughout his career, including director of "HaSayeret HaYarok" (The Green Patrol) and advisor to the Minister of Defense on settlement and agriculture affairs. These positions provided him with deep insight into the complexities and challenges on the ground.

For the past decade, Altman led the "Admati" public non-profit organization. The association's primary mission was to safeguard the rights of farmers in rural areas and protect the legacy of agricultural settlement established by those who settled the land even before the state's establishment. His death is considered a significant loss to the working settlement movement and the Israeli agricultural sector.
