Netanyahu Accused of Lying by Associates of Former Shin Bet Chief Ronen Bar

Associates of former Shin Bet chief Ronen Bar have responded sharply to Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu's accusations that Bar committed "crimes" and knew of a "real danger" on the night of October 7th but failed to act. The associates stated that in light of revelations about warnings Netanyahu received before October 7th, the Prime Minister is "losing his composure again and evading responsibility."

They expressed hope that an inquiry commission, to be established soon, would investigate the events preceding October 7th. According to the associates, Ronen Bar did not speak with any security officials as Netanyahu claimed. They asserted that the Prime Minister's Military Secretariat was updated at 3 AM, and accused Netanyahu of "desecrating the truth and the fallen in order to escape his responsibility."
