Golan Children Engage with Storytelling and Music at Majdal Shams Festival

The Autumn Festival in Majdal Shams featured storyteller Hala Harb, who presented a five-hour program of stories and entertainment for children. Using direct interaction and storytelling, Harb created an environment that blended fun with connection. The event included activities for children, supported by childcare teams, designed to encourage play, listening to stories, and participation.

Musically, the "Alhan" choir from Beit Jann performed their show "Flowers of the House." The performance featured artist Suha Harb and conductor Samer Alo, along with other local artists and talents. This musical presentation incorporated storytelling, with narratives and explanations linked to the songs, and included performances by artist Abdullah Tafesh and his daughter, storyteller Areej Assaad.

The festival was sponsored by the Majdal Shams Local Council, the Culture Department, and the Naseej Association. It is part of a cultural and entertainment program aimed at providing artistic activities for families and children, while also offering a platform for local artists and talents.

These events highlight the presence of folk arts, storytelling, and music in local cultural programming. Artists from villages in the Galilee and Golan participated, presenting works that combine entertainment with the preservation of cultural memory.
