Hasidic Rebbes Lead Sukkot Celebrations Across Israel

Across Israel, Hasidic Rebbes led vibrant celebrations during the Sukkot holiday, with thousands of followers participating in joyous gatherings. In Bnei Brak, the Rebbe of Mahnovka-Belz was seen during prayers and the "shaking of the lulav," a special tradition where a grandson holds the Torah scroll in the center of the synagogue while the Rebbe and congregants encircle the bimah. The Rebbe of Darg also held a special celebration, featuring a unique art installation in his sukkah made by young followers, combining fruits, wine, and a crown motif.

Other Rebbes also hosted gatherings, including the Rebbe of Tzelem, who led a "Simchat Beit Hashoeva" (rejoicing of the drawing of water) with music and dancing. The Rebbe of Alexander held his traditional "tish" (reception) with songs and words of Torah, while the Rebbe of Vizhnitz led the "shaking of the lulav" from his private sukkah. The Rebbe of Lelov led a "Havdalah" ceremony followed by dancing, and the Rebbe of Spinka commemorated the 50th anniversary of the "Da'at Cohen" Rebbe.

Amidst the celebrations, there were reports of concern for the health of the Rebbe of Gur, who was reportedly unwell due to a cold. Additionally, news emerged of the critical condition of the Rebbe of Dzirka in the United States, with prayers being offered for his recovery. The Rebbe of Tzemach Tzedek of Kraczkow also held a large gathering in Jerusalem, featuring a VIP section and a special "parnassah tish" (sustenance reception).

Political figures were also observed participating in holiday events. MK Yitzchak Goldknopf and his former aide Moti Babchik were seen at a reception hosted by the Rebbe of Dzhikov-Vizhnitz in Beit Shemesh, alongside a local council member from the Gur Hasidic community.
