Jerusalem Police Arrest Suspect in Pepper Spray Attack on Child
Israeli police in the Jerusalem district, in cooperation with operatives from the northern district, have arrested a suspect in an assault on a young child. The incident occurred in Jerusalem's Mamilla area during the Yom Kippur holiday. According to police reports, the assailant approached a nine-year-old boy and sprayed him with pepper spray.
Following the report of the incident, investigators launched extensive operational measures. The suspect, a 22-year-old resident of Ganei Modi'in, had been hiding in the northern part of the country. Operatives apprehended him and brought him to the Lev HaBira police station in Jerusalem.
