Maccabi Tel Aviv secured a spot in the Winner Cup semifinals by defeating Elitzur Kiryat Ata 109-61. This victory follows their earlier Super Cup win, marking another step towards a potential second title this season. The team will now face Hapoel Jerusalem for a place in the final.

Despite the lopsided score, the game was not initially under Maccabi's control. They struggled in the first quarter and fell behind, but once they took the lead, they dominated, with the advantage peaking at 50 points. "We didn't start well and Kiryat Ata took advantage of it. We weren't focused, we didn't play simply, and we risked ourselves," a club source stated. "Once we started leading, we entered a different mode, and things started happening more easily."

Several players contributed significantly to the win, with Daniel Theis leading scorers with 15 points in his Israeli debut. Bonzie Colson added 14, John DiBartolomeo 13, T.J. Leaf 12, and Jalen Clark and Amit Ebo each scored 11, with Keeton Wallace adding 10. Notably, no player exceeded 23 minutes on the court, as the team managed player load ahead of a demanding schedule.

Maccabi faces a busy week with two EuroLeague games: against Besiktas on Wednesday and Olympiacos on Friday. Despite advancing, the club acknowledges the team is in its early stages of development. "We are still only at the beginning, but yes, we thought we would be at a certain place, and it became clear to us that we weren't in recent games. We will learn from this and move on," a club representative explained.

Coach Oded Katash expressed criticism regarding team chemistry and player integration, noting that the desired combinations and starting fives are still being refined. He and his staff are working to better incorporate new players into the team's dynamics.
