Top Haredi Leader Urges Voters to Oppose Left-Wing Parties
Rabbi Asher Hirsch, a prominent leader within the Degel HaTorah party and the Haredi public, delivered a strong address at an election rally, denouncing the left-wing and calling for action to prevent its political advancement. Rabbi Hirsch emphasized the critical need for divine assistance, referred to as "Siyata Dishmaya," in the upcoming elections.
"We need great divine assistance from God today and must prevent the lack of divine assistance," Rabbi Hirsch stated. He elaborated that this "lack of divine assistance comes through the strengthening of the left, and we must prevent the strengthening of the left as much as possible."
This call comes shortly after a significant upheaval within the Haredi political landscape. Earlier this month, veteran Knesset members Moshe Gafni and Uri Maklev were removed from the Degel HaTorah slate and will not be running in the upcoming elections. This decision sparked considerable criticism within the community regarding both the dismissals and the manner in which they were executed.
