Within Hours: Two Men Shot Dead in Kafr Qara and Ma'ale Iron

Two men in their 30s were shot dead overnight Monday in two separate incidents in Ma'ale Iron and Kafr Qara. According to the Abraham Initiatives organization, 127 people from the Arab community have been murdered since the beginning of 2026. Police said an investigation had been opened into the shooting in Ma'ale Iron, and that the background was apparently criminal and the circumstances were under review. Magen David Adom teams that arrived at both scenes said the two men were found unconscious, without a pulse and not breathing, and suffering from penetrating wounds. The injuries were significant, and the medical teams had no choice but to pronounce both men dead.

Yesterday, a man in his 20s was shot dead in the northern city of Maghar. The young man was initially evacuated in critical condition for medical treatment, but shortly afterward he was pronounced dead. Police said that "searches have begun to locate suspects in the act and an investigation has been opened into the circumstances of the incident."
