Top Rabbi Warns of Unprecedented Crisis, Claims US Against Israel

Rabbi Moshe Hillel Hirsch, a prominent figure in the Haredi (ultra-Orthodox) community and a leading sage of the Degel HaTorah party, delivered a sharp critique of the political left and warned of a severe lack of divine assistance during a special gathering of party members in Modi'in Illit. He described the current situation for Jews in Israel as the most difficult he has witnessed in his lifetime.

Rabbi Hirsch expressed concern that "the entire world is against us," specifically mentioning the United States. "Even America, whom we thought was on our side, is not correct. Almost most Americans are already against us," he stated, adding that in a hypothetical war scenario, the US might refuse to send aid.

He attributed this perceived lack of divine favor to the strengthening of the political left in Israel. "We need to prevent the strengthening of the left as much as possible," Rabbi Hirsch urged, dismissing the notion that the left poses no threat. He emphasized the critical importance of voter turnout for Degel HaTorah, stating that anything less than 10 seats in the upcoming elections would be detrimental and would empower the left.

The rabbi concluded by invoking divine blessing for those present and for all Jews, expressing hope for a significant victory and the sanctification of God's name.
