Hostage Survivor Celebrates Hamas Commander's Death

Liri Albag, a former hostage held by Hamas, expressed satisfaction following the reported killing of Hamas military wing commander Muhammad Hamdan Muhammad Ghabayin, who was involved in her captivity. "When good news like this arrives, you can't hide a smile. What a crazy full circle!" Albag wrote on Sunday in response to the news.

The Israel Defense Forces (IDF) and Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) jointly announced that Ghabayin was eliminated in an airstrike last Tuesday in northern Gaza. According to the statement, during the war, he was involved in holding Ziv Berman, Eitan Mor, Liri Albag, Agam Berger, Matan Angrest, Gali Berman, Omri Miran, Keith Segal, and Alon Ohl captive.

Albag stated that Ghabayin was the specific militant who held her and Agam Berger for nearly a year. "I have so much to say about him, and I could talk for hours about the suffering he put us through," she wrote. However, she chose not to dwell on him further, adding, "But honestly, today I don't feel like giving him another word. Just smiling a huge smile and telling him - rot in hell, you scoundrel. How great that you're no longer here."

Albag recalled a conversation with Ghabayin during her captivity, writing, "Remember our argument about who would end up in hell? It's fun to know we were right about that too now."
