Accused in Murder Case Loses Sight, Faces Emergency Surgery

Linor Shoshon, who stands accused of aiding in the murder of Benayahu Razi, has lost her sight and is currently sedated in the hospital following a deterioration in her medical condition. Reports indicate Shoshon is expected to undergo emergency surgery due to a suspected stroke.

Her family and lawyer have stated that they had warned for weeks about her declining health, which included vision loss and fainting spells while in detention. Shoshon is charged with assisting in the murder of 19-year-old Benayahu Razi of Givat Ze'ev.

Razi was murdered in July at a vacation apartment in Jerusalem's Nachlaot neighborhood. According to the indictment, Shoshon facilitated connections between those involved in the crime. Razi was attacked in the apartment along with his friend Matania. During the assault, Razi was stabbed in the heart and died from his wounds, while his friend was injured and managed to call for help.
