Arison Family Funds New Rehabilitation Park for Seniors in Israel

A new innovative rehabilitation park designed for the elderly has opened at the "Sheba" Medical Center in Pardes Hanna, Israel. The park, named "Naim Le'Shikum" (Pleasant for Rehabilitation), was established with a significant donation from Dorin and David Arison, through the Ted Arison Family Foundation. It aims to address the physical and mental challenges associated with the rehabilitation process for older adults.

The "Sheba" Medical Center, the largest government geriatric and rehabilitation hospital in Israel, inaugurated the park as an extension of its treatment services, providing a therapeutic space in an open and pleasant environment. The initiative is intended to enhance the rehabilitation process by encouraging activity in a natural setting.

Dorin and David Arison stated that their decision to support the park stemmed from a desire to offer patients an additional rehabilitation option in a more inviting setting, benefiting both patients and their families. Dr. Tami Porat Peker, Director of "Sheba" Medical Center, highlighted that the park offers an advanced therapeutic environment, integrating physical activity in fresh air, which boosts motivation and provides significant added value to overcoming rehabilitation challenges. She emphasized that the park will help patients regain strength, improve physical abilities, and return to independence.

She further expressed gratitude to Dorin and David Arison for their generosity and commitment to the project, calling them "brave partners" who have demonstrated dedication to advancing health and care quality. The park is expected to be a significant growth engine for the medical center, enhancing patient and staff resilience and adding value to the services offered to patients and the community.
