Israeli gymnast Artem Dolgopyat secured a gold medal at the Paris Challenge Cup, demonstrating his continued dominance in the floor exercise discipline. Dolgopyat achieved a score of 14.500 points in the final, a performance that placed him firmly in first place and added another significant achievement to his impressive career record.

The victory comes at a crucial time, less than three weeks before the World Championships in Rotterdam, scheduled from October 17th to 25th. This competition serves as a key final test for Dolgopyat before the season's main event, with his Paris performance offering a strong positive indicator for his prospects.

Dolgopyat had already established a leading position by finishing first in the preliminary rounds with a score of 14.066. In the final, he elevated his performance, earning 5.800 points for difficulty and 8.700 for execution, resulting in his final score of 14.500 after adjustments.

His winning score created a substantial gap between him and his competitors. Slovenia's Anže Hribar took silver with 14.233 points, and Italy's Tommaso Brunelli claimed bronze with 13.800. The more than quarter-point difference between Dolgopyat and the second-place finisher is considered significant in elite gymnastics, where medals are often decided by very narrow margins.
