Artyom Dolgopyat Wins 2026 Israeli Gymnastics Championship and Maccabiah Games
Artyom Dolgopyat, the Olympic gymnastics champion from Tokyo 2020, secured the Israeli national title and the Maccabiah Games championship in men’s artistic gymnastics in 2026. The competitions took place in Jerusalem as part of the Israeli Gymnastics Championships week. Dolgopyat, representing Maccabi Tel Aviv, achieved the highest all-around score of 76.334 points in both events, completing an impressive double victory.
In the Maccabiah Games, Ilia Liubimov took the silver medal with 72.066 points, and Ron Ortal earned bronze with 71.099 points. At the Israeli national championships, Ron Shnir won silver with 73.100 points, while Liubimov finished third with 72.066 points. The championships continue with artistic gymnastics, trampoline, and tumbling competitions scheduled for Sunday and Monday at the Pais Arena in Jerusalem.
