Artyom Dolgopyat Wins Israeli Gymnastics Championship and Maccabiah Gold
Artyom Dolgopyat, the Olympic champion from Tokyo 2020, secured both the Israeli national title and the 2026 Maccabiah Games gold medal in men’s artistic gymnastics. The competitions took place in Jerusalem as part of the Israeli Gymnastics Championships week. Dolgopyat, representing Maccabi Tel Aviv, achieved the highest all-around score of 76.334 points in both events, completing an impressive double victory.
In the Maccabiah Games, Ilia Liubimov took silver with 72.066 points, and Ron Ortal earned bronze with 71.099 points. Meanwhile, in the Israeli national championship, Ron Shnir won silver with 73.100 points, and Ilia Liubimov finished third. The gymnastics championship week will continue with artistic gymnastics, trampoline, and tumbling competitions at the Pais Arena in Jerusalem on Sunday and Monday.
