British Musicians Unite in London for Gaza Health Aid Concert

A major fundraising event, "Artists for Gaza," is taking place in London's King's Cross area, featuring a lineup of prominent British musicians. The event, which began at 4 PM and will continue until 1 AM, includes live music performances and sets from over 25 DJs across four stages.

Notable artists participating include Paul Weller, Suggs from Madness, Kevin Rowland of Dexys Midnight Runners, Paul Simonon from The Clash, Bobby Gillespie of Primal Scream, Jerry Dammers of The Specials, and Andy Mackay of Roxy Music, alongside musicians Cliff Langer, Lisa Mursch, and Leigh Thompson.

The proceeds from the concert are designated for the organization "Health Workers for Palestine." The funds aim to support the reconstruction of Gaza's healthcare system, specifically targeting maternity wards, trauma care, MRI machines, and general medical infrastructure, according to the organizers.

"Artists for Gaza" has reported that four previous events have raised over £142,000 with the participation of more than 40 artists. A single event held at the Scala venue last May generated over £42,000 in one night. That May event, which also featured Paul Weller, Suggs, Kevin Rowland, Andy Mackay, and Cliff Langer, allocated its funds to the Medical Aid for Palestinians solidarity fund.

This latest event is part of an ongoing series of musical gatherings organized by British artists to raise funds and support healthcare efforts in Gaza, drawing participation from well-known musicians across different generations of the UK music scene.
