Ofer Winter Slams Left-Wing Bloc Leaders, Links Them to Yair Golan

Ofer Winter, chairman of the "Am Israel" party, fiercely criticized a recent meeting of left-wing bloc leaders, accusing them of aligning with Yair Golan's controversial statements. Winter stated that voting for leaders like Liberman and Bennett is equivalent to voting for Golan, who allegedly said that "a normal country does not kill babies as a hobby," implying this referred to Israel.

Winter's remarks came in the context of five party leaders from the bloc publishing a joint document outlining their principles and committing to cease mutual attacks. Despite this agreement, significant political questions remain unresolved within the bloc.

Winter also expressed support for Yosef Haddad's efforts in combating antisemitism, wishing him success in an upcoming event against "antisemitic Irish people." He emphasized the importance of "true public diplomacy" and dismantling negative perceptions of Israel.

Meanwhile, the joint document signed by Yair Lapid, Naftali Bennett, Gadi Eisenkot, Avigdor Liberman, and Yair Golan, committed to ending internal attacks and working together to strengthen their bloc. However, the leaders deferred the crucial decision of who would be their candidate for prime minister until after the elections, leaving voters to grant them the power to change the government without a clear leader in place.
