Hanan Ben Ari Reveals Past Struggles During Concert
During a joint performance with friend and fellow singer Peir Tasi in Rishon LeZion, Hanan Ben Ari paused the music to share a personal struggle he experienced about a year ago. Ben Ari revealed to the audience that for approximately six months, he suffered from a severe block that made him feel ashamed to leave his home and interact with people. He described this period as a difficult time where he found it hard to even go outside.
Ben Ari credited Peir Tasi with being a crucial source of support during this challenging phase. He recounted how Tasi would visit him every Friday, honking his car outside Ben Ari's home to invite him for a swim. Tasi would take Ben Ari and their barber, Chagai, to the beach in Sdot Yam, where they would immerse themselves in the water, eat watermelon, and discuss life.
Ben Ari explained that Tasi, who has also faced ups and downs in his own musical career, understood how to approach him during his low point. "He would tell me, 'Calm down, I've also been through periods in my life, everything is fine.' He taught me so much about myself, about life, and about patience," Ben Ari said emotionally.
The two singers, who both reside in Pardes Hanna, have maintained a close friendship away from the public eye for years, in addition to their musical collaborations. Their recent joint performance highlighted a deeper, more personal dimension to their relationship, showcasing Tasi's support during Ben Ari's complex personal moments.
