Tamir Idan Appointed Chairman of Public Housing Company Amidar

Tamir Idan officially assumed his role as chairman of the board of the public housing company Amidar on Sunday. Amidar, a government-owned company that is also publicly traded, had announced in July that its previous chairman, Yair Zilberstein, would conclude his tenure after two terms. A few days later, Idan's appointment was reported. Idan simultaneously resigned from his position at the Negev Fields Regional Council, where he had served as head for 14 years.

Idan is recognized as a political figure in the southern region and a member of the Likud party. However, following the recent conflict, he resigned from Likud in protest of the government's handling of communities in the Gaza envelope area.
