TV Host Ofira Asayag Slams Ben-Gvir, Gottlieb Over Government Roles

Israeli television host and media personality Ofira Asayag has sharply criticized National Security Minister Itamar Ben-Gvir and Knesset Member Tali Gottlieb, expressing frustration over their reported aspirations for key government positions in the next coalition. In a video posted on social media, Asayag questioned Ben-Gvir's reported desire to become the next Defense Minister, asking, "Why do we deserve all this mess? What do you want from us?!" She accused him of damaging the police force and warned against him potentially harming Israel's national security.

Asayag sarcastically advised Ben-Gvir to "stay in the Sukkah" and leave national security matters alone. She then turned her criticism to Gottlieb, who is reportedly being considered by Ben-Gvir for the Justice Ministry. Asayag referred to Gottlieb as someone who "licked Netanyahu's boots for three years," suggesting her loyalty to the Prime Minister and questioning her suitability for the role.

Asayag concluded the video by conveying a sense of public exhaustion with political maneuvering, stating, "Can someone explain to them that they are giving me a headache, and apparently not just me, there is a country here... Enough!". The media personality recently launched a WhatsApp channel called "Ofira Asayag Culture" to foster closer daily communication with her followers.
