Eden Harel Steps Back From Morning Show for New Projects
News anchor Eden Harel has explained her reduced television appearances, stating that the morning show she co-hosted with her husband, Oded Menashe, "changed direction and I connected less with it." Harel addressed the change during an Instagram Q&A session on Saturday night, where she also revealed that a new interview program she is hosting will soon be broadcast. She hinted at the upcoming show by telling her followers, "Let it remain between us, there is something to wait for."
Harel elaborated that her decision to step back from the morning show stemmed from a personal need to engage with projects she feels genuinely connected to, asserting that "otherwise, it doesn't come across on screen." She recently hosted the documentary series 'Thirsty Souls,' which explored why Generation Z is becoming more religious. Harel noted that after interviewing survivors of the October 7th attacks and the Nova music festival massacre, she realized the question of "strengthening" faith was more complex than initially perceived.
She reflected that the core question became "What does a person lean on when the ground is pulled out from under their feet?" While she doesn't yet know the ultimate answer, Harel concluded after the first episode that "there is a thirst here. And these souls are looking for something to drink from."
