Nova Music Festival Site to Host October 7 Remembrance Ceremony

As the third anniversary of the October 7th massacre approaches, various initiatives are underway to commemorate the victims and support survivors. The Nova community is organizing a memorial ceremony at the site near Re'im, emphasizing music and performances, reflecting the community's origins. The Nova Community Association, established after the massacre to support survivors and bereaved families, will join the families of the victims for the first time at the memorial site's ceremony. This will be the third year the victims' families, in cooperation with the Jewish National Fund (KKL), will hold the ceremony at the Re'im memorial site. Organizers announced the event will take place on Wednesday, October 7th, dedicated to those killed at the Nova and nearby music festivals. The ceremony will include readings, singing, and a Yizkor prayer. Scheduled performers include Bnei Barbi, Yuval Raphael, Nina Tayeb, Amir Benayoun, and Shuli Rand. The event will be hosted by journalist Tamir Steinman. For Yuval Raphael, a survivor of the Nova festival massacre, this will be a return to the location where the attack occurred. On October 7, 2023, Hamas terrorists attacked participants at the Nova festival and other gatherings in the Re'im area. The site has since become a memorial destination for families, survivors, and visitors seeking to remember the victims and hear their stories.
