MK Merav Ben Ari Slams Ofer Vinter's New Party as 'Arrogant Joke'

Member of Knesset Merav Ben Ari launched a scathing attack on "Amcha Yisrael," the new political party founded by Ofer Vinter, labeling it a "joke" and a party of "arrogant people."

The criticism followed an appearance by Eran Ben Ari, who is listed as number four on the "Amcha Yisrael" slate, on Channel 12 news. A social media user on X (formerly Twitter) criticized Eran Ben Ari's appearance, claiming he echoed Likud talking points and praised Prime Minister Netanyahu's UN speech. The user also questioned the strategy of being another "Bibi-ist branch," suggesting the Likud party already fills that role.

Merav Ben Ari shared the post and amplified the criticism, questioning the party's name and its perceived pretentiousness. "Soon I will write more about this whole event, but what is certain is that there is no one common person in the Amcha party," she stated bluntly. "This is a party of the most arrogant people I have seen in the area recently, and believe me, I have seen candidates from all parties, but I haven't encountered anything like this in a long time," she concluded, adding, "Amcha, my foot, what a joke."

Merav Ben Ari was recently placed in the fourth position on the "Bechd" (Together) list for the 26th Knesset, expressing her elation at the support she received following the announcement.
